Rollerblading in Brisbane, Australia

This session takes Brisbane, Australia's inline skaters around a short loop of the city.

This seven minute video shows the rollerbladers doing some easy tricks, going down some small hills, as well as skating through Brisbane's Central Business District, Riverside Markets, Botanical Gardens, Kangaroo Point and the Story Bridge.

The entire session was skated, filmed and edited on one day: July 20th, 2003.

i bought some new skates (K2) a month ago coz of this vid.

broke my elbow 2 days ago though. Elbows were the only pads i didn't buy, i'll be getting em now.

Sorry to hear that. Skating is really dangerous. Never take it for granted. Good think is you do not need your arms to skate. :)

Not the gr8 sk8 br8k debate again ...

We ride with brakes in case of emergencies while going downhill and because brakes are cheaper than wheels. That said some mates in San Francisco ride with 5 wheels and no brakes.

Ride well? Well there is always room for improvement. Send a link to a video of you side surfing downhill at 40kph like at 1:40

The only shop in town is called SkateBiz but they charge too much. Best to go online or just borrow a pair.

hey i know its been so many years since this video but do you know where to buy inline skates in bris ? =O i really love skating and wanna start skating in my area instead of paying to go in a skate arena =(

I bought some new skates because of this video haha. I'm having so much fun already. I can't wait till I'm as good as these guys. I haven't been rollerblading since I was little. Now I'm almost 20 and giving it another shot!!! Awesome!!!!
