Been rocking Traktor since day one,,, and remember a day back when I was getting quite a bit of flack from other DJ's for using a laptop in the clubs... "That's not real DJ-ing, blah, blah..." It's so good to finally see the world catch up with this technology and seeing many of the wolrds top DJ's embracing Traktor. The unique mixing possibilities are indeed endless!!!

The simple fact is though that the younger generation don't even know what 12 inch is. There are two ways to traktor the way I see it either 1 you are fucking useless and cant dj to save your life and just want to dance around like a mong and do silly angel poses or 2. you use the tight syncronisation and all the effects to their full potential as Richie does. Plus the last vinyl record I bought cost me 43 pounds yea and they wonder why people are switching to digital formats.

I use digital dj software like Traktor and Virtual.

It's great!

But I always got the impression, Dickie Hawtin had a phobia of vinyl.

@DigitalFeeder Also...making a digital track on a pc..then burning it to a disc or pressing to vinyl...and placing it in/on a machine with motors moving parts..buttons...connections..­solder.. wires..more connections...to have a laser or a needle( that was invented years back that wear out your vinyls) to read the infomation back off the disc's.....and play it through the speakers.....all seems like re-inventing the wheel to me.

@DJAnthonyJacobs yeah man true!!.... i remember saying mixing with cds on cd players is crap and half ass and being able to cue instantly was cheating...compared to my cool looking original vinyls that took longer to cue!!! ooops i was wrong...after that i treat everything new as a dj beatmatching tool. and yes traktor i found will cook ya fucken breakfast if a tell it :)

ive seen him live hes a beast with traktor him and dubfire ive seen dubfire us fucking 2 kontrol x1s and allen and heath mixer and maschine and freak did some track i swear im still trying to figure out what was what he used to create that remix ont the fly
