"Shattered Dreams"

The children of Christel House India did a Documentary Film on Child Labor, called "Shattered Dreams. " Every child has dreams and hopes for his / her future. There is however an existing problem of child labour. In spite of government policies against child labour, we still see many children who are working and out of school. Where have their dreams gone? Who has stolen their dreams? Some blame their parents, poverty, circumstances and others blame fate itself for their shattered dreams. How do we help these children to escape from this life of drudgery? It is our responsibility to spread awareness among parents, children and community and ensure that every child enjoys his childhood and realizes his dreams. This short documentary exposes the dilemma and lack of awareness in working children. Their day to day drudgery has made these innocent children unaware of their rights and the benefits of schooling.
