Intro to Yoram Gross studio's 1998 animated TV series -- Skippy: Adventures in Bushtown -- which, like their previous series Blinky Bill, has an intro that goes go on for a bit longer than is really necessary. This is just my personal opinion, don't get me wrong but I feel that the producers could of used that time for more story.

Still otherwise it was a fairly solid series, with good production values, and witty and irrelevant writing; even though it only lasted one season (of 26 episodes), it is recommended watching. The level of animation was slightly higher than what was the standards for the time of non-primetime animation as well.

Skippy, park ranger and all-round nice guy uses his wits to keep Bushtown safe, particularly from the town's own Mayor Croco, who is always up to some scheme to get his hands on the townsfolk's money.

A 3-disc, DVD boxset of the series' first twelve episodes is available in its native Country of Australia.

The series is still owned by Yoram Gross, under their company new name, Flying Bark Productions.

  • What is the complete casting?

  • I managed to find the first season on DVD just recently. It took me ages to track it down. They really shouldn't get upset at people uploading these shows if they don't make them available on the market.

  • Skippy's intro has got to be longer than Maude's.

  • What was his name again? I think they failed to mention it enough in the intro

  • the theme songs by this producer are always long

  • Hmm..seems like an interesting show. <:3

Is this show out on DVD?

  • I wish i could have seen this series it looks rather fun to watch.
