GB Memory (Nintendo Power Japanese cartridge) Main menu (GBC Mode)

I've got one of these, but it only has Super Mario Bros. DX on it. Do I have to have more than one game on it to access this menu?

I mean, I'm happy with mine as it is, because it's a nifty cart that not TOO many people own, but...

@Syndication : The internal flash memory only has 1MB, and SMBDX is 1MB so I guess when this service was still available in japan you had to choose between small games + menu or big game alone.
