I thank all positive feedback about keeping true to the images I selected for this video and your words of praise. As a "Messenger" myself I give thanks for the years and what people like Master Gil Scott Herron and certainly my DAD, who for me was the greatest Messanger I have ever known taught me. Keep this in mind as you respond regarding anyone's comment(s). I STAND FIRM on the FREEDOM of SPEECH. Those who oppose our thoughts tend to strengthen our convictions if our opinon is at all valid!

@pammie038 The images were inspired by Gil's words which I am proud to say I have been inspired by people like Gil Scott Heron, The Last Poets, Nikki Giovanni just to name for what seems now all my life. This piece is one I believe many people (myself still included) will have multiple listens to. Every image I sought out or suggested itself and my purpose was frankly to reach those of MY generation because at the same time Gil is teaching younger folks "shame" on us for not KEEPING THE NERVE.

Allow me to elaborate just a bit more on that. We were a generation raised by a generation who's eye's had been open and who went to great lengths and painful trials to make sure we were not a victimized generation. More of the "Dream" they and those before them were directly denied. When I look at what is happening "WITH OUR YOUNG FOLKS TODAY" I wonder how WE ever LET it come to this. What is happening is by plan of the MAN. But no excuse. WE'VE allowed the HOODWINKING. AND WE KNEW BETTER!

Powerful!!! No need to explain your image choices. As an artist it's about your perception/perspective and what you are trying to convey. It's up to the viewer to arrive at their own conclusion which will ultimately be determined by the breadth of their experiences and the depth of their knowledge and wisdom.

Gil must have been really ashamed of some of the new songs out there. Gil generalized white man. Gil, was wrong in that. But it was an idea that was common at the time, and I can understand. I try not to generalize, because those pre conceived ideas are old. And they belong to old times. the way i see things.
