The Wrangler Jean 'What's Going On?' commercial, directed by Godley and Creme - featuring robotic dancers Barbie Wilde & Tik and Tok, who were all members of mime-music-dance group Shock. NOTE: All videos on the BWBARBIE CHANNEL were uploaded by the performer for promotional purposes under the "fair usage" provision.
Barbie appeared as the Female Cenobite in 'Hellbound: Hellraiser II' and in 'Death Wish III' as a vicious mugger. She also appeared on British TV as a presenter for various UK music and movie review programs. As Technical Glamour, Barbie taught world-famous glove puppet, Sooty, how to do the robot. This commercial was choreographed by Bruno Tonioli, of 'Strictly Come Dancing' and 'Dancing With The Stars' fame.

This advertisement was broadcast in around 1980-81 and for some reason, gave me the creeps! It's great to see it again after so many years.

Great female Wrangler jean shots with closeups of the W patch and pockets. Wish the camera would show more of it :=)

I would imagine these effects are easy to do on a computer now... ripping up the image that's just happened etc... but can you imagine how difficult it would have been to do this in 1983? When I saw this on the telly for the first time I just went "wow"... and still do!

Looks like Godley and Creme picked up a fair few of their effects straight out of their "Wide Boy" and "Englishman in New York" videos for this! - looks also like they scored the soundtrack too!....
