@quasiphatpaul I think they were still using 4 liter NA engines at the time. Eddie Cheever had an Infiniti engine, everyone else had an Oldsmobile engine. I'm not sure of the ratio of Dallara to G-Force chassis, but you can probably find that on racing-reference (dot) info.

@quasiphatpaul Neither are what they are currently running, the current chassis/engine has been used since 2003, this is why 2012 formula change is so important. Dallara was still a constructor back then though, they had a couple different chassis and engine manufacturers like Riley and Oldsmobile

What's up with the engine sounds? Doesn't sound like modern IRL at all but looks identical. Different engine formula/constructor at the time? Or still honda's and just my ears?

why did they stop racing at Dover? This was by far the most challenging oval they went to.... and the most fun to watch.
