@MrTimeControl I wouldn't say that "The Assassination of Jesse James" was a masterpiece, but it was certainly was a damn good movie. Let's not forget "Juno" though. Not in the same league as "Blood" and "Old Men" but still damn near perfect!

i can safely say that out of all the 2000s movies, this one seems to be in the "god-tier" department, while most of the others are in "shit-tier" department

I watched this movie for the first time a year ago and thought it was good. I watched it again a year later and thought it was nothing short of a masterpiece. There Will be Blood is one of those movies that the more you watch, the better the it gets.
I'm not denying that Daniel Day Lewis is a great actor, but he tends to (in my own opinion) overact; however, he's stunning as Daniel Plainview in There Will be Blood.
