Record are now reduced to some fashion statement. For ppl who think their so hip, that they buy the most greatest albums ever and nail it to their apartment walls. So when their friends come over and visit they'll notice how cool and awsum. Their friends are because they have a Rolling stones or a white strips record cracked and nailed to a piece of dry wall. Everytime i see people do this it makes me want to rip that record out of their hands and murder them with their ipiss!/

@Pacguy19 dont use the earbuds they give you get some headphones. i did that with my ipod and notice a huge sound improvement trust me those gay ass earbuds they give you suck use some headphones.

I'm an audio student who has analyzed audio, I think I know what I'm talking about. It's true that MP3's have minor sound issues, but again, it's no different from having a slightly scruffed CD or a lightly scratched record. The quality is practically the same, and if you want it better, simply buy the CD and burn the music at a better format, though I wish you luck getting it to work on your player.

@whtfang91 You must have the worst ears in the world, then. MP3's often leave quite noticeable (at least to me) compression artifacts, such as ringing. Plenty of people can hear these same problems. Thus, the quality is not "the same, if not better".

MP3s are the exact same music that you know and love simply saved into a digital format that reserves the original quality of the work. I tried downloading songs of Kiss, Poison, Bon Jovi, and others from the 80's that have been made into MP3s, and believe it or not, the quality is the same, if not better, than the original album's music. Sure it's not the same as having a record or CD of the album, but it isn't the unholy abomination that the 4y guy makes it out to be.
