Recessional Hymn 473: Lift high the cross, the love of Christ proclaim till all the world adore his sacred name. Led on their way by this triumphant sign, the hosts of God in conquering ranks combine. Each newborn servant of the Crucified bears on the brow the seal of him who died. O Lord, once lifted on the glorious tree, as thou hast promised, draw the world to thee. So shall our song of triumph ever be: praise to the Crucified for victory.
Well-trained and reverent acolytes--all candles extinguished in the correct order, even the last two by themselves, one slightly after the other. This is the way it used to be. Hymn tempo excellent--focus on the words.

This is very beautiful - wonderful organ, inspired singing, and a dignity that seems lacking today in so many faith communities.
You're just down the road - a member of Kenmore United Methodist Church in north Buffalo where we are quite similar. (It was formerly Methodist Episcopal...) Thanks for sharing your wonderful music!

I also attend church at an Episcopal parish downstate. =) I know this hymn well. We sing it from time to time. Is that a statue of Mary on the right? I'm assuming that Trinity is a "high" Episcopal church?
