a couple of decades ago, the Taliban stopped all the poppy farming in Afghanistan. The flow of good, cheap narcotics virtually dried up in the U.S. and music creativity suffered tremendously. Now that "we" are back in control over there, the poppy is growing again and the cheap narcotics are once again flowing to our shores (thanks, CIA). I expect the music to start improving real soon so don't be too dis-heartened by the crap you hear on the radio these days. It'll come around again.

Rock music played live in those days especially in the 60's and 70's was raw and real..No frills just the performers as they were
