Bruges, Belgium

Bruges (Brugge in Dutch) is the capital and largest city of the province of West Flanders in the Flemish Region of Belgium. It is located in the northwest of the country. The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO and it is often referred to as "the Venice of the North."

On my day trip here from Paris I spent the day walking around and seeing the sites of this beautiful city. I walked along the picturesque canals and visited the Church of Our Lady, Market Square, Burg Square and ended the day with a boat cruise through the canals of the city.

Bruges is a gem

I am American and have lived in Europe for a long time now. Bruges is the most romantic city in Europe. I have been to Venice, Italy many times and studied in Italy and that is great over there but Bruges is like a super intense, different and even more romantic thing. If you want to get anyone into bed, just take them to Bruges for a long weekend. If it doesn't work, I'll be danged. This is a good video but it is hard to capture the magic of this city! It is fantastic!

thank you for making this video available. my wife and i were in bruges in 1997 on vacation with friends from UK. We came across the channel via the chunnel and rental car.

We did not go far beyond the market square and canal area You have have to fill in much of what we did not see. thank you.

This is clearly a French-speaking (Walloon?) guide. She talks about "Gand" and "Anvers", while the names must be "Ghent" and "Antwerp"
