Where did you manage to get upgrades for your Cruise-o-matic? I've got a 1965 thunderbird I'm working on and I simply can't find hardly any parts for it. Please respond soon.

@luckyrabbit666 - Thankfully it didnt need work. A rear bushing went out, last year and no one could get parts for it, so we machined one out of brass. As far as where to get parts, i have no idea

its 1965 Galaxie 500, with 390, Edelbrock 750 carb. motor rebiult but left stock for the most part other then a boar and stroke increase and a 3/4 raise cam. The transmission is a rebuilt 3 speed cruise-o-matic with a high gear ratio, slow off the line but 1500-1700 RPMs doing 70 on the interstate. The exhaust is a pair of Thrush glasspacks on the original Exhaust pipes. Since this video was taken, we have put new pipes on from the manifold back, and switched mufflers for a louder glass pack

Beautiful. I have a 1967 Galaxie 500 XL, with a 390 and a 4spd. I just bought headers and I'm gonna run glass packs, 2 1/2 " to the rear. I just love that rumble.
