The best legal brains worldwide debated the Law Scenarios to 2030 at the 2011 Law of the Future Conference on 23 and 24 June 2011 in the Peace Palace in The Hague. The Law Scenarios to 2030 were presented by the Hague Institute for the Internationalisation of Law (HiiL). Participants discussed how law will evolve in the next 20 years.

I must say while I respect the right of Mr. Ginsburg here to his opinions, seeing what I see happening to the European Union at the moment, flies in the face of what he says about the governance of of it.
It is a project that has gotten out of control whereby economics and not democracy count more than the citizens of the Union. Take one look at Athens in Greece over the last week or so, and it is plain to see what people think of the Union now.
