My daughter had Bi Lateral Talipes and was born 20 years ago. She had an operation to release both feet as the manipulation and strapping didn't work when she was 5 months old. Although she has trouble finding shoes to fit she has no problem with her walking.She did gymnastics when she was 6 till she was 13 without any problems at all. She has a scar that runs almost half way up he calf muscle but it is because of her natural growth, but they are so fine they are not very noticeable.

@LUBO251888 hi we from northern ireland so going to belfast hospital. just had baby on 19th may and he has his apt on 1 june for plasters. it will prob annoy me more. thanks for getting back to me.

ah what age was he when he got this on? was it the 1st treatment doctors done? both legs? im pregnant and found out at 20 wk scan that baby has talipes.

Hi nix30115, this was his first treatment at 1 wk old, as you can see it never bothered him, he only had one leg done as second leg just needed manipulation and massage, have you heard of STEPS, Its a charity that deals with lower limb disorders, they are a fanstatic group that can answer any Q you may have. what hospital are you dealing with.? good luck
