(To see the chair work look in m other videos) Hey im the Tech Director and Master Carpenter at Pacific Coast Theatre Company, This is the Working Prototype of our Sweeney Todd chair for the 2010 Musical we will be putting on. The video is a brief explanation of how we made our chair. This was one i made from scratch and has a 12v Motor and 2 6v Batteries Chair Frame took about 4 hours to make, painting took about 4 days haha, the parts for the motor were around $200 and the motor could range from $10 - to $100 look around your local Industrial supplies stores Granger has a good selection of motors -- I can make another vid if this one was not made well enough or if you want different angles on the chair if you need more info feel free to email me on youtube and ill get back to you ASAP

  • hahaha :D

  • Didnt have a huge budget at the moment for the chair the director commented on the motor and how real it could be for the time period, but i opted to go this way seeing as he works for me haha =p but yea im thinking of using a hydraulic pump when i re do the chair. and yea the chair will be close to the trap door, but im thinking of redoing the foot plate im not liking it, but Thanks for the comment and ideas :) helped more then that one idiots video haha

  • Yea, i will record some -- they wont be for a while this is for our 2010 spring season haha, got started early on the chair wont start building the Pie shop and stuff untill prob. January

  • can you show how it funckshons

  • Jesus christ nice job!At first i thought you were just some spammer when you posted on the other vid but this is awesome!

  • Again, Interesting take on my design. The one thing you are missing is the Plank for the continuation of the slide, unless of course you plan on having your trapdoor meet the edge of the chair-seat. I considered building a motorized chair, but we wanted ours to be more or less historically accurate to what could have been used.

  • wow, ¿can you rec the reahersals ?
