  • camshaft turns 1/2 the speed of the motor, not 1/4.

  • What's neat about the Smiths/Briggs motor wheel is that the tire rim is mounted on the cam shaft, not the crankshaft, making it turn 1/4 the rpm of the motor. This does away with the need for external speed reduction simplifying the motor.

  • @Humorgous Didn't Briggs buy the rights to the Smith motor wheel and produce the car under their name also?
