Castor Oil! There can be no more doubt about the greatness of Mr Dean's heroism

Joseph is absolutely adorable! Also, the conversation between Mr. Dean and Sister Clodagh is my favorite scene in this whole movie. The fact that she became a nun was because she'd "shown that she'd loved" (which I took to mean slept with) a man she thought she was going to marry and he left her made me so sad for her. Deborah Kerr rocked this role as did Kathleen Byron as the very crazy Sister Ruth.

sister ruth is pretty nasty o.o

there are romantic overtones through out the movie.....but the most beautiful love scene is at the end ,,,,where Mr Dean takes Sister Claudaghs hand to say good bye....with a tender scene like that....who needs todays graphic sex!!!!! BRAVO for the old classics!

It is impossible that in 1947 an English man appears half-naked in front of nuns. However, I have lived in England and I have seen englishmen topless trying to get into pubs. restaurants and even in Universities, in Plymouth. Many of them behave like animals in France and Spain.

your foul mouth and lack of the ability to 'express' yourself beyond using filth, tells me what a 'stupid' person you are....

"There was just no one else you could ask."
That is such a witty, subtle atheist comment. It's actually similar to Caiphas' line to Pilate: "We have no king but Caesar."
It's such a brutal way to tell Claudagh she has no god.
I thought it was supposed to be cold there. That bloke is wearing shorts and no shirt ! And he is supposed to be English ? Dressed like that around women - Nuns at that !
