I think we have to enforce the laws as stupid as that sounds. We have to build the double fence that Duncan Hunter talks about that is law. We have to make it a felony for any employer who hires aliens and anyone who houses aliens. These sanctuaries that are spoken of just prove that we have terrible State Governor's, Mayors, Senators, and Congress men that allow this to happen. Take away the benefits that they get- that Americans don't- and it'll reduce the numbers.

Ya he's right that he shouldnt racially profile his workers but that leads back to the point that illegals arent an easy thing to irradicate. It bothers me that he criticized Giuliani for his policy for coping with a problem we cant get rid of. I think Giuliani's point was his stance was one of practicality and that his practicality didnt deserve some slack, from romney, in light of romney's inability to deal with the problem in his own home.

I agree it won't be easy. The longer we delay the issue the more improbable it will be to solve in the future. And I think we can solve. Will it happen in a couple of years? Of course not. On a National level it could take 20 years before illegal immigration is reduced to where it should be. The big thing is: Government needs to grow a spine.

I saw a documentary on TV where some guys go down to the border to "Hunt". Making the consequence/solution to noncompliance harsh enough is the only way to make the problem go away.
Until we have the resolve to shoot women and children throwing a leg over the fence, we are going to have illegal immigrants. We can find them on occasion and throw them back but we cant weed out all of them constantly, Well always have a number of illegals here, so how to deal with them while they are here?
