  • Rest now Will. Your misery is over.

You might hear somebody else playing trombone in the horn section, but that person will never replace you.

Sorry it took me a while to post this, especially knowing this is your favorite Steppenwolf song, but it was kinda hard to do. This is not good-bye,,just see ya later.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • @vipsanchez Proof, as if any more were needed, that there is no God!

  • @vipsanchez That says a lot more about the people running RRHOF than it does about Steppenwolf John Kay certainly has more music in his little finger than they have between all of them

  • great song it was written by hoyt axton who also wrote the pusher right rock and roll hall passes buy greater arists shame shame

  • @CocteauDalighari amen brother-music is about the people that play it and the people that hear it-who gives a shit about the people who wanna box it? this is steppenwolfs hall of fame right here-real people, real fans, real music, real life. enjoy it all friend

  • MOST of the bands in the 60s and 70s and 80s pushed dope loving shit on people but the wolf did not he asked GOD TO DAM THE PUSHER MAN' i love you all old man vance

  • SON THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH U THAT U CANT FIX IN MY DAY I COULD BE INTO ROCK AND ROLL I COULD BE COOL HA HA HA YOU KNOW AND WITH STEPPEN WOLF I DID NOT NEED TO WORSHIP DRUGS... PEACE ON EARTH MAN.

  • @hammerogod Maybe 'cause JK was the only growler that really sounded threatening. & The R&R HoF likes pop tunes; not nasty social commentary. The HoF does not mediate my musical taste.

  • Steppenwolf was an amazing band and had a lot of sucess but John Kay never got the credit or recognition he deserved as a unique performer.

Anyone who ever saw Steppenwolf on stage (and I hope you did) knows that John had incredible talent and musical sense.

He could do raw rock and soft ballads with equal attention to the message and meaning of the songs.
