I don't know how close it actually is, because i don't know guitar, but the beginning part(and throughout the song) there is a part that sounds pretty close to that old weezer sweater song. Just listen to the beginning and think "oh no, it go, it gone by by"

@ms7788 I thought that when I first heard it too. It's similar but not the same. They were covering that song on tour around the time this was released too. A little fishy but whatever haha.

@countingcrows123 They did The Sweater Song as like a pre show thing. Chris was on drums and it was a mix of all the bands, they called themselves The Lethal Weapons haha. Basically like a jam session before the opening act. They did cover El Scorcho during the DC set though yeah.
