I'm 1977 Wits medical graduate, now in Cornwall, UK. Life was different in Tanzania, where I grew up. I even met Julius Nyerere at the landing-strip at Geita. The selective coverage of Africa is unfair. I learnt Swahili before English, as a small white boy in the bush in nothwestern Tanganyika/Tanzania in the 1950's & 60's. It's the most beautiful language, its speakers the kindest people I know, & hearing it still makes me feel happy. I wrote a book about it, & there's a short video on youtube
Wow, what cheesy music! They make no mention of the bureaucracy!
