I buy a box of powder-free latex gloves at Wally World (Wal-Mart) when I'm handling my models. This keeps the oils off them, and keeps my hands cleaner. I use an airbrush loaded with a very diluted paint the same color as the car.

interesting technique. I have tried misting the car with the same color as the car which makes the lettering look faded. By misting I mean spraying or air brush at extreme distance away from the car. Show more tips please

@bigstinkyboat with his Badger #2oo airbrush using a fine needle of course! -Actually a model #100 SG dual action is better and is fully capable to do extremely fine work!!!

Would you consider doing a turitorial on painting N scale locos?

If I had a loco I'd consider doing a video of the project but since I've never painted a loco before I'd definitely not consider it a tutorial. More like a soap opera...

Do you have a video(s) on how to paint N scale locomotives? If not, would it be a good idea to use a paint brush or air brush?
thanks!

No I don't. It would look much better with an airbrush.
