  • Speaking of J. Edgar Hoover, @ 1:07 look for Chris Farley in drag!

  • ahhhhhh, those ware the days, thanks for posting.

  • J.Edgar also wore dresses in private ( rumour has it ) so maybe, secretly, he wanted to be one of the Vandellas and was just jealous?

  • Martha and the girls hit #2 in Billboard, 10-17-64. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • J Edgar Hoover thought the song was written and performed to advocate violence,"Dancing In The Street". He was paranoid.

  • Martha sure could belt 'em out...really great tune..makes you wanna dance!

  • It's so strange looking at this and remembering how segregated things were. I am not sure but looking at those ugly white girls i think this show was in English.

Whatever, i think that the message got through because the 60's came together for a while anyway.

    Peace

  • @corringhamlad .....I have hunted EVERYWHERE for the Ronettes' spot on "Ready, Steady, Go!".... (3 Jan 64)

You would think it would be out there? I thought maybe you had a complete set of RSG videos and might have it? Paul / Texas

  • This song has an energy you don't really see in music today. I think it may be because of the live instruments.
