  • Pure Musicality !

    RIP Ted

  • he is tuned down a whole step, or close to it

  • Is this the Starcraft music?

  • Truly inspirational. An amazing human. Yes, Long Live Ted!

  • 2:16 to 2:40 That's unlike anything I've ever heard!

  • @JimmyDeLocke great quote haha. i find the same exact thing. a guy sent me some videos by the bassist Jaco Pastorius the other day and i find the same quality in him sometimes -not thats its unique just another great example of freedom but with a knack for composition, coming back to the progression in the funniest ways, riding the wave just right.

  • Sheer brilliance!!! And so beautiful...

  • @tyrannicoystercult I agree -- "Genius," from the same root as "genesis" simply means "one who creates." It can be learned. (The first 20 years are the hardest) When I commented I was thinking of a Django story.

Django was in New York, playing at a party at a Park Avenue apartment and Andres Segovia was there, listening. When Django finished one particular piece, Segovia inquired, "Where can I purchase the music for that?" to which Django replied, smugly, "You cannot. I just made it up!"

  • @JimmyDeLocke well improv is the basis of composition.. playing professionally is about testing and remembering ideas, all he's doing. i dont mean to take the grandeur and brilliance out of a word like 'genius' since i definitely love his playing too, just I think that we can all get there, playing with chords and putting a melody on top and moving it all around is a very logical liberating type of excercize we can all pick up

  • seriously, i have no idea what jackass would rated this down! im a strict metal head and even i can recognize TRUE talent when i hear it. absolutly beautiful ted!
