It's a mint leaf. In Kirby's Dream Land (the very first one!) Kirby could get the mint leaf to fly automatically and have infinite air bullets. He needed it to kill a flying zeppelin which tried to murder him with a cannon. Of course.

I've been calling them 'charlie' for ever though.
Unless you're talking about the japanese 'Bull', but all the enemies have different names. Boos are called 'theresa' !
