Renato Matei, Sonatina amorosa quasi Rondo con variazione

I wrote this Sonatina about the famous Theme (Francis Lai) from the movie "Love Story". In the 19th century composers often wrote Sonatas and other pieces about famous themes ínvented by other composers (like a "paraphrase"). And they always felt honoured (so I didn't "steal" ) that a colleague used his theme. It was intended to be played on a fortepiano, but unfortunately I had no possibility to have one to record it with.

I have a very similar melody in my music box and I think that the movie theme was already based on an earlier piece.
