Not if you are using bad ammo or bad magazines. Stuff like Wolf is so bad it can jam an AK. Not to say other assault rifles are more reliable but the reliability of the AK is overrated sometimes.
Actually AKs and most other Russian weapons are specifically made to operate with Wolf and Tula quality ammo. Hence why an AK or RPK can run all day on wolf, but after 100-200rds of Wolf .223 through an AR-15 and the lacquer deposits will badly gum up the action. This is the main reason they switches to ploymer coated cases, not to mention the steel casing had a tendencey to break the more fragile AR-15 extractors. But if it makes you feel any better, the AR-15 is still more accurate than an AK.
I've hunted in west Texas with an AR-15, it never jammed and in fact never has in the 3 years I've owned it. Don't make claims if you've got no idea what you're talking about.
Same here, I'm a member of the Confederate Air Force & I usually deer hunt when I go to Midland during Airsho we have out there. During a dust storm out there the sand is about the same as powder. Even with normal firing of an AR, if the bolt head gets gummed up with carbon deposits it can jam but if you add in fine grain sand it's a jam that will happen. If you keep the gun constantly clean then sure it'll run like a top. Still a dirty AK is less prone to jamming. Direct impingement vs piston.
