Classic vintage Gretsch drum set in Tangerine Sparkle. A slideshow on these drums. Drums are all original with the exception of the rail mount which has been updated to a newer version (no new holes drilled though). Enjoy!

  • Are the sizes on these 13-16-18-22 + 14 snare? I'm doing some clean-up/restoration on a White Marine Pearl round badge kit in those sizes currently.

  • @TomBolton 13-14-16-22 and 14" snare

  • what is the song in the beginning ??

  • It's some generic library music like TV and Radio stations would use on commercials. I don't recall the title of that particular cut but it would be something like "Big Band Riff #6" not really an actual song title. The song on the main video is called "Soulful Drums"

  • Wow What a great video, A Red sparkle gretsch drum set sitting vunerable in the wild. It would have been funny to see a guy crawling on his belly and sneaking up on them, and then pounce on the kit, Like a Tiger after raw meat.

  • Thanks! Actually they're Tangerine (orange) sparkle but it looks a lot like red sparkle in the photos.

  • Great Video, fabulous kit and sound!!! I just purchased a 12-16-20 1968 round badge and love the sound of your drums. Can you tell me what heads you used on them and tuning range? Thanks

  • thums up if you fell in love

  • 0:30 Fuck pillows and all that crap. A big, empty bass drum with that felt strip is the best way to go.

  • THE BEST SET IN THE WORLD

  • yummy!

  • where did you order it from and how much did it run? my old gretsch kit was modified with a 70's Ludwig tom holder drilled through the center of the shell but I still have the rail consolette in my drum toolbox. I was hoping to use the old ludwig rail along with the dw arm and hardware.

  • I got the DW rail mount and installed it. It actually looks really good. Initially I was upset trying to install it because screws that came with it did not fit. But then ended up using screws from the old mount and it installed perfectly. You may also have to install the arm with plastic tightening lever facing away from you to gain flexibility. I initially installed arm with lever facing me and found it to limit my tom placement.
