  • You are actually quite right. It was a European war fought in the New World. The English wanted the Americans to pay for it and the Americans said no. Thus started the separation between England the new country, the US of A.

  • I've always been fascinated by this era - it was the end of British dominance, and also kind of where British history in the 'New World' ended and American history began.

  • This is something. Europeans re-enacting North American history.

  • Oh yes - quite something! Who was it who fought the French-Indian Wars? Oh yes, the French and British, of course...

  • Dear Sirs , Where did this take place and who were the particpants? It's quite impressive .

  • Thanks!

The action took place at Hop Farm in Kent last summer, and the French and British troops are re-enacters from the 'New France, Old England' group, part of the Napoleonic Association.

The Iroquois natives are part of a German group, sorry but I'm not sure of their exact name - I think it translates as "The German Iroquois Group" or something similar.

Take a look at our other videos, we have a longer version of this clip, involving more groups at different locations.

  • i'm studying american history abroad in scotland in the fall and hope to see a few events!

  • Dear Sir , This video is superbly done ! Looks like D.W. Grifith .

  • i'm doing a project on colonial New England combat and this clip would be great, do you think you could send it to me in a format that would be viewable in a powerpoint presentation?
