Like the Idea is great and all, but indeed we all have to know how to fix the maschines. we all have to learn new stuff and evolve. I think the base of a new good society is education.

They are trying to produce a mainstream motion picture for the Venus project, but they need donations. It's up to almost $39,000 5/8/11. All profits will go towards building the first city.

I don't think surgical jobs could be replaced by machines. Yes, machines could help, but they wouldn't be able to work with out a doctor in operation of them.
You would need an extremely advanced/self learning AI to operate in the place of a doctor. And if you start talking about that, you'll eventually start talking about a technology singularity, something that I don't think is covered in this documentary.
