@EHeroAndrew The problem is not government. The American people are supposed to hold the government accountable but they do not because they are too fat and lazy. Americans need to realize that they are not merely individuals with rights and liberties, but citizens with duties and obligations. It makes perfect sense that a democratic country whose citizens habitually live beyond their means will give rise to a government which spends beyond its means. Blame those who vote for corrupt leaders.
