In yet another rarely seen Popeye cartoon, Popeye and Bluto compete to be a life guard, just to be with girls (particularly Olive Oyl). Good thing Popeye has spinach in his locker... To find out more information regarding this film go to its IMDb page at http://imdb.com/title/tt0027782/

"Look out for me I'm an octopus!"

    Hilarious. xD

  • Popeye the Sailor Man is the real McCoy of Lift Guards that are working throughout the nation. I will probably see him in the Y.M.C.A. pool in my local community.

  • Popeye's wearing a swimsuit that looks like it came from 1890! Yeah, I know, this was 'only' the 1930's, but even by '30's standards, it's fairly 'modest' attire. Bluto's wearing more of what was appropriate by then. Thus, why Olive Oyl and the other women are laughing at him.

  • i use to love watching this as a kid,lol...ill gladly pay you thursday for a hamburger today !.....i wish i can eat spinache and have my cock blow up like popeyes forearms, that would be great !

  • @ronnied828 Well, I wouldn't put it that way, but yes she was cheating on one or the other constantly.

  • i never understood what they seen in olivoyl.....she was a whore, she was banging them both ,lol

  • This is so awesome! Popeye is made out of rubber or something. I"m glad I saw this. My grandpa was 14 years old when this first played! He just passed away this year. He used to do impressions of Popeye all the time to make us laugh.
