Grear voice and ! Sweet cover.

@bigdjindustriez Lead Belly may get the credit but this song is defiantly traditional. It belongs to continuum of "hammer songs" played through out the South. Note Mississippi John Hurt's rendition called "Spike Driver's Blues."

Same lyrics to "Spike Driver Blues" by Mississippi John Hurt.

Great cover.

@bigdjindustriez It was not

Leadbelly (Huddie Ledbetter) sang it and popularized it, but almost certainly these words and this song originated long before. You have a real smooth voice, clean guitar style.

WOW ! In the intonation of your voice i thought i heard Leadbelly sing.
5 stars & favorite ! Génial ! ! !

Bravo.

a different stroke for different folks, nice vocals you sing excellently, i'm a leadbelly fan but i liked this version too;)
Written by Leadbelly (Huddie Leadbetter), not traditional. But good job on it.

They did a concert at SAU in Collegedale, TN just last night. They are no longer a trio; there were four performers last night. While their sound is not exactly like the records we've got from the old days, it was still the same old Wedgewood. (I was one of the people running the A/V setup, so I got to hear them practicing too. Great group to work with.)

that's awesome. my mom and dad both went to sau when it was smc and used to listen to them when the trio were still students there. nice to know that wedgewood still gets back there.

Hey, cool song! Your guitar work sounds like authentic Wedgewood Trio stuff. I just say them in concert this past Saturday night (09/01/2007) at the Loma Linda University church in Loma Linda, CA. From what they said during the concert, it sounds like they hadn't done a concert together for a couple years before this one. It was cool to see them and hear so many of their songs!
