This is me playing the song "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by The Beatles, arranged by Jake Shimabukuro. Unfortunatly I don't have a ukulele, but I found out that if I remove two strings on my nylon string guitar and replace some other strings, I can actually tune it like a ukulele. So I decided then that I had to learn "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" the way Jake plays it. It is a bit slow, and I did quite a few mistakes. Sorry about that... And it is an octave lower than on a ukulele, so it might sound a bit weird if you are used to the ukulele-version :-)

I can not make justice to that song, but I had to give it a try.

  • awesome!!!! do you have the tabs??

  • Beautiful ! where can i find this tab ????

  • very nice!

But i figured out that you can play it with the normal tuning of the D, G, B and E string as well ;)

    Amazing though!

  • that is so awesome!

  • amazing : )

  • i must say, very nice. i never thought to Mame my own guitar to do so, even though I've played the ukulele, but i might consider. even with bad note and a slower tempo, it is still a kickin' arrangement. but the end was a little messy. i don't really care. to take time out for that is still pretty sweet ^_^ keep it up ^_^

  • you know you can capo the 5th fret and you will be on the right octave.

you can do that with all the strings on it and normal guitar tuning too. just dont play the top two string

btw excellent playing bradda, im learning this song on my uku, and idk i just cant seem to get it down.

  • hey dude, where do you get the tab for this?

  • Damn that one rattling string!
