To conclude, some speculation on what might actually have happened to him after he "disappeared", and a summing up of his lasting contribution to Welsh identity and Welsh history.

  • makes me sad how little my friends know of Owain Glyndwr, more must be taught of Owain in Welsh schools to celebrate his legacy

  • i must say ....

the welshman who is ltloosefit is feeling deeply patriotic now more than usual. thank you owain glyndwr and thank you glyndwr65.

when mr edwards said that love of our great country live on in us all is true in my case. wales is and will always be the greatest country in the world not just for being renownd for our welsh bowmen but also for its great landscapes and for being my home.

  • Unlike William Wallace, not 'betrayed' by his countrymen; just ignored and forgotten...Should not it be TOGETHER against the common enemy, England?

  • 'Arthur',born to an unstable Frenchman in Cornwall...More EVIDENCE for the existence of Lailoken,Caer Gweddoleu...the 'Final Battle',Alban 'Arfderydd', Cymric 'gueith Ardywedit'?,Inglish 'Battle of Arthuret(h)',circa 573 AD (archaelogy places this 10 miles North of Carlisle); The slaying of G. by Rhydderch Hael,King of Bernicia.(He did at least give the Deirans a kicking:'Y Gogoddin').Lailoken ran to the 'woods of Ceddylon',redeemed by Kentigern,to 'Myrddin'.Knights: Alderley Edge..Y Gogledd! )O(

  • That was freakin awesome.

  • Good old Glyny! :')

  • WoW! A party political broadcast by Huw Edwards on behalf of Plaid Cymru. Can't fault it!

  • @lickstickly agreed.

  • 2:04 its not glendewyr... its Owain Glyndwr

  • Really enjoyed this. Many thanks for the upload though it did make me feel quite sad that he didn't succeed. A fair point about the betrayal of Wallace. The Scots do have that self destrucitve element in them but that's a discussion for another day ...
