This was my second attempt at making a Graveyard soundscape. It was inspired by many different things. I like to have a lot of atmosphere, sounds, smells and sights all play a big part in a haunted house. I wanted to try and capture the feel of a haunted Graveyard. I think the aspect of death is a fascinating thing as we will all parish one day and have that dreamless sleep which cures all ills. The paranormal fascinates me and how the sounds of the dead and demons can effect people's subconscience. The first thing that inspired this is one of my favorite songs Blood Letting by Concrete blonde the atmosphere in that song is what made me love it. The wind effects was based off of the almost demonic sounding howling in Daly city that use to rattle through the whole house at the eerie hours of the wee morning. I have always been in love with the Victorian era as long as I can remember and the cracking of a gramophone has fascinated me for years, see if you can pick it out. The music of Jim Steinman and Frank Wildhorn two composers I am very fond of inspired the demonic and angelic sounds coming from the graves; the cries of the lost souls doomed to wander the hallowed earth. The music of Nox Arcana and Midnight Syndicate and their wonderful ability to portray such great moods. There is many things hidden in this track some you might not even be able to recognize. October is my favorite time of year and Halloween is my holiday. So Sit back and put some headphone on and listen carefully things are not always what they seem. Do you believe in ghosts?

  • Awesome! I really liked it! :) also, to sure if you intended it to be there, but I like the Chaney Phantom quote in the description about the dreamless sleep which cures all ills...

  • @TheTitanic4 Indeed I did. I am a huge Lon Chaney Phan and have two tattoos of him. ;) so glad you liked it. I had planed to make another sound cape this year but sadly just got far too busy.

  • Mind if I use this in my haunted house this year?

  • @ycsdramaqueen Not at all. ;)

  • I had the unfortuante experiance of listening to this during a thunderstorm... I ran from the room screaming. Nice work!

  • Nice. The odd sounding women evp noise is actually one of the first sound recording done on a phonograph back in 1860, but it's was so spooky I decided to add it in.

  • My favourite parts are 0:37 1:44 3:08 4:16...the heart at the beginning and at the end...and the woman screaming...!

  • Sweeet go for it. I'd be honored.

  • This is awesome! Or rather, Phantastic. ^_^

*considers playing this at his door when the trick-or-treaters come 'round*
