  • @SunTzu176 Your essentially wrong with your assesment of Grant. Too often he is made out to be a sociopathic drunk butcher. This is not the case. Sure he pressed the advantage when he had it. But in the civil war the General with the least regard for casualtys by far was General Lee.

Also, As far as I can tell Union Troops were well trained as a result of McClellan. McClellan was not one for offensive but he left the Army of the Patomac well trained.

  • @Cckeen413 It's actually bluegrass. Please get your facts right.

  • are thes irish names McDowell, McClellan

  • This song is historically accurate for the most part. But the idiocy of McDowell, Banks, McClellan, Pope, and all the other politicians who became generals, doesn't mean that the north is weaker or worse. The south got off pretty lightly if you compare what happened to most traitors in history, regardless of who is in the right. Im a Union man though, USA forever! Slavery sucks!

  • @Cckeen413 Stfu boy, this isnt country... Go listen to justin beiber you ugly faggot. This is real music.

  • Civil War songs are better than all most modern music today...

  • this is such a neat song

  • @SunTzu176 The name of the song was The battle of bull run by Johnny Horton.

  • @Ksgamer103

I rather disagree with that. The quality of the Union troops was atrocious until middle to late into the war. Perhaps if the Union had a general who like Grant the Butcher had near zero regard to casualties, they could force themselves into Richmond in 1 week, however they would be bled dry.

Whats that line from that song? "We said we'd run em to Atlanta, to Galveston Bay, but they ran us back to Washington and Philadelphia."

  • @SunTzu176 heck man! North could have captured Richmond in one week if it wasent for the dumb generals we had!
