Food From Guilan (Kake - Pastry from Foshtom)

This is my first try at making Kake. A type of pastry from Guilan; made with butternut squash, turmeric, brown sugar, salt, flour, egg, crushed walnut and raisin. This is the first time I had it in Toronto, Canada. My grandmother in Foshtom and my mother in Rasht made Kake for me many times. Super delicious. Mine did not come out good at all! It was my first try though! Next time I will do a better job.
