no you think about it. wen we set a mouse trap it kills them instantly, with no pain. on the other hand, a spider kills a mouse brutally, and harming it, so it is going through pain, therefore it is cruel to watch and enjoy seeing a mouse going through pain until dead, than seeing a mouse dying instantly in a non painful way
Mine doesn't have those for one, and second Goliath (birdeater I assume) are quite different species of tarantula. Individual temperament matters, too. Anyway, if you want to blame someone for it not being a humane killing, blame the tarantula.
I get tired of people and their "thats so cruel" and "your sick". Come on people what more cruel, a hungry spider needing to eat or when we see a mouse in our home, set a trap, snap its neck and discard it in the trash! Think about it.
Why do people bother commenting on what's humane? If you want to feed your tarantula the humane way, that's your entitlement. Just as it's their entitlement to feed their tarantula whatever way they please.
Are tarantulas humane in their killing habits out in the wild? If they're going to be kept in a confined area to start with, the least you could do is offer them the thrill of the hunt as the occasional recreational activity.
