  • why is the off switch in the middle??? if you have it in standby, you have to switch it off in order to turn it on....

  • TheLoveland87.......You switch quickly from standby to "on" in one fluid motion and the amp never misses a beat. I've been using this amp personally for over 3 months and this is a non-issue and simply a design choice my Michael Koski.

  • i gotcha...how does this amp line up to a matchless lightning? im also torn between a 15 watt vs a 30 watt....im afraid 15 wont be loud enough, while 30 is definately enough...maybe too much. does it have enough headroom to still be louder than a drummer without it breaking up?

  • There is the perfect amount of headroom for small gigs with a drummer who knows how to "play the room", around the house playing or any time the amp is mic'd, but it does break up relatively early as compared to some other 15-20 watt amps, but then there is also more gain available so it's a trade off. The Lightning has a bit more headroom, but less overall gain. It also depends on how clean you like to play and whether you want your gain from the amp or from pedals.

  • Sounds absolutely fantastic but the reverberation that was added post, how does that work? I mean that's not how it actually sounded then is it?

Great review anyway all reviewers need to take note...this is how you demonstrate the dynamics of an amp

  • hebijebi03, It can be a good idea to add a bit of reverb in post when recording via close mic' because this actually creates a final track that better simulates what you hear in the room while playing. Otherwise what you'd be hearing would be similar to having your ear right in front of the speaker.

  • Exceptional sounding amp..Very versatile coupled with some excellent guitar playing filled with some very tasty touches....:)

  • How does it clean up with the volume knob ? i need a very very very attack reactive amp so..

In pretty low gain setting , with the telecaster could you have some very "open" cleany/crunch ?

    thank you Greg !

  • Is that a Sewell behind you?

  • Best phrasing and voicings, i've ever heard.

    Love this Amp demo channel.

    Greg, you got it.

    LG, Joachim

  • great playing man!

  • Hey guys, love your videos. Do you sell the Xits' Sadie XS? I'm really interested in it because of its EF86 gain stage but there are practically no clips of it anywhere. It would be great to hear a demo of it from you guys especially. thanks!

  • Amazing sounding amp and awesome playing.

  • wow that sounds awesome!
