Frank Zappa gave me the idea for this movie, when he wrote in 'The Real Frank Zappa Book' (go and read it, it's a lot of fun) that: "The most important thing in art is The Frame... because, without this humble appliance, you can't know where The Art stops and The Real World begins." He summed this concept up even better by saying, "You have to put a 'box' around [The Art] because otherwise, what is that shit on the wall?" Zappa goes on to describe this idea using music, which has nothing to do with this, but I really liked the idea of a frame that creates a piece of Art where ever it is placed and with what ever is put in it. I don't intend to imply that this movie is some sort of 'piece' or 'work of Art' or that it is has high value because I said it was 'High Art'. No way, I just liked the concept and wanted to make it real and literal.
Bearing that in mind, I took the idea of The Frame and applied it to a simple concept of a person (Me) discovers a Frame and uses it to create something. In this case, I use it to be goofy, because I like to be goofy, it's fun and some other people might get a laugh out of it.
Enjoy!
love it!
