8-bit glory.....something our children will never know :(

Prelude seems to set the dream stage of the games like you know you are set for a long ass adventure with lots of quest and characters to meet. It's so dreamy. That's why it's called Final Fantasy.

I've only played FF1, 5, 9, and 12, and they were all good. FF12 was my favorite, good times.

Heuuuu..it's not the IV, with Kefka. It's the VI.. IV = Cecil :D

The Prelude is the song that represents Final Fantasy to me. <3
Beatiful and mysterios, yet inspiring and meaningful, it makes me want the fantasy to never end...
Each version takes the feeling of the game for sure. I think my favorite is IX's Prelude, but again I love all of them...

@Spoonwood Don't you mean VI ? xD

You can't beat IV. It will never be out-done

I always liked the BGM of the Crystal World in FF9. A macabre parody of the Prelude, as if to suggest that residing at the core of everything that has ever been or ever will be (that is, the Crystal), is something that dares to threaten its continued existence.
1 person prefers Dragon Quest... what a shame

Life is change, when something stays the same, it's dead.

@Ocaisionallysane true,but you can have games change and still mantain their roots.look at the zelda series: every game has it's own feel to it yet it's still zelda at it's core. final fantasy 13 tried so much to innovate that it ended up not resembling the classics in the least.
