Firstly, there is no such thing as "bahasa India". We have "bahasa-bahasa Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Tamil, Gujerati, Telugu, etc" but no "bahasa India."

Secondly, it is a historical fact that the word "Allah" was used by Christians, Jews and even pagans to mean God, even before the creation of Islam. Even today, Christians in Arab refer God as Allah. The word "Allah" was not unique to Muslims in this sense.

It is like someone calls your mother "Mummy" and later forbid you from doing so ...

A more accurate word for God is Ilah in Arabic. Lord means Master or Teacher. It is only in certain places the Old Testament that Allah can be used; in which He is referred to as Lord God. But this highly dependent on which Bible version.

Muslims use Allah because Quran is only Quran in Arabic. Therefore, Allah is used. The word itself is not a Malay word. 'Allah' has alot of deeper meanings that only Semitic languages can grasp, thus the use by Jews and Christians in the East.

If catholic mention Allah, all Malays Muslims Peninsular will consider it as Muslims God
