I seriously doubt it. Elton wrote this song back in 1972. Will any of Eli's work be around in 40 years? Doubt it. Will he have the career that spans that long? Doubt it.
Look, Eli is nothing short of amazing but you people throw out the "better than ______" when we all know it is a load of rubbish. You want to like your local hometown singer then go for it. Awesome. Support him but don't get carried away.

Sure it does. It sounds so much better that Eli is playing in Wisconsin and Elton has been around for 40 years. Don't get me wrong. Eli is nothing short of amazing but if he was better then Elton he would have won on live TV
