This is a 5 month old GSD/Husky mix. This dog was at a municipal shelter and I was assessing it for a possible transfer to the SPCA. This dog has been tested by 4 different testers on four different occasions. She is on free feed and has been for two weeks.

  • I'd be agitated too if you put your hand in my food....

  • you shouldve smacked him with that hand. bet he wont bite it again. lol

  • yeah u better use a fake hand because if not you're going to pull back a nub..My family just got a second puppy and he's food aggressive as well but not like our little year old chihuahua....So I'm on line looking up help to correct this problem before it gets out of hand (No pun intended),lmao..

  • that dog is awfull!

  • I understand and it is hard, but I also wonder, what ever happened to teaching people to leave dogs alone when they are eating? . Of course, I am old school and learned the hard way when my grandmother's collie bit me when I wanted to put my hand in her dinner.

Hand-feeding might have solved this and lots of time, but the reality is: there are more dogs without these 'issues' dying everyday, about one every 6 minutes in the shelters around the USA.

  • If I can just say... It's completely disgusting that a puppy of only 5 months old can even have this type of problem... irresponsibility.

  • Reminds me of a dog we used to have.... he didnt like to be bothered when eating and he would get very aggressive if we messed with him during meals lol.

  • sorry to hear, but there isn't enough homes nor skilled people to deal with this type of aggression. The 5 year old rottweiler I rescued in my video was just like her. no hugging, no hanging over him, rescource guarding, couldn't touch him, lunging etc they are often workable, but it takes time and knowledge.. she was a pretty dog though..

  • yeah, that really sucks that he is displaying food aggression as early as puppy hood. i really hope that they dont use this test as his only test. I hope they try and work with him and give him another shot

  • Is she going to be put down by the SPCA? Or are they going to work with her aggression?
