A better video of "Ma Sar" ("it didn't happen"), an Arabic idiom meaning unique or "never before" -- nothing like it has ever existed). A song in the style of Trance music, sung by Haifa Wehbe of Lebanon, from her first album "Houwa El Zaman" (Now Is The Time), 2003.
Lyrics:
Ma Sar ~ ما صار (One of a Kind)
"Darkness night and day
Burning secrets
And my heartbeat says 'put out the fire'
The whisper of love has started the journey
And a new candle says 'put out the fire'
Tonight, oh night, what should I say?
My love is unbelieveable
My love with a single glance made my night longer
I want from you a promise of your night of bliss
Tell me I love you
Tell me more
Make me hear you
Make me lose myself
Ignite me.
My darling -- one of a kind
My darling -- one of a kind."

[In other words, her lover is "ma sar" -- no one is like him].

  • Excuse the ignorance, but isn't it kind of forbidden for arabic women to show even their hair? This fair, fair arabic lady not only shows her hair but uses a lot of definite sexy body language (and has a great, grrreat cleavage... and, honestly, a quasi-perfect face. What an attractive woman.) I mean no harm, but to educate myself on the matter. Great video.

  • @RafaKBLudo

She is from Lebanon, the most liberal Arab country.

  • @FrankCoffman Lebanon is amazing. Rather, their music is fantastic. I've never been, but started reading up all about the country's history and culture after realizing they had some stellar singers. Really wish the best for the country despite its political situation.

  • @Innamoramento9

Yes, Lebanon has produced a lot of talented people -- because it's the freest, most liberal country in the Arab world. But Lebanon's politics suck. The current Lebanese government (under Hezbollah's influence) supports the murderous Assad dictatorship in Syria.

  • I really hope Haifa comes back to the US, I am so eager to see her live! Thanks for sharing Haifa's works with us Frank!

  • @porcelainmaiden

You're welcome. I'm glad you dig the songs and videos.

  • @RafaKBLudo No it is not forbidden for arabic women to show even their hair..But it is forbidden for muslim women..All arabic women are not muslims..Just like all spanish people are not catholics.. :)

  • @indiradahan Hmm. Ok.

Seems I'l have to go to an Arab country myself, sometime.

  • @indiradahan I didn't mean extreme... like extremists. I have friends who practice islam who are against the head covering and submissiveness. I myself am Lebanese and a Christian.

  • @RafaKBLudo No. Only extreme devout muslims. Not all arabs are muslim.

  • the most beautiful woman, but only after ME)

  • @FrankCoffman That explains. Thanks.
