  • What shed kit is this and how much did it cost you?

  • @supra297 We are building the Lifetime 8' x 5' shed with window, model #6406, in this video. You can purchase it in the Lifetime Online Store for $849.99 (with free shipping).

  • Kainpwnsu, Glad to hear you're a fan! Did you know you can follow us on Facebook and Twitter too...and get some great deals in the process! Thanks for the suggestion on the foundation video. We're actually in the process of building a product video library so we'll look into adding that to our list of thing customers want to see!

  • I've been looking at sheds for a new house I'll be moving into soon, Thanks for putting up your video, made my decision for me. I had built a wooden shed at my current house but it was a major PIA. This one looks much simpler.... what size is your shed? Is it the 8x5? Also.... looks like you've had it up a good six months or so now... are you happy with how it's holding up? Thanks..:)

  • Glad the video helped! Yes, the shed we built is 8x5. We've actually had it up for over a year now (took a while to get to around to uploading the video) and we're very pleased. Not a bit of color fading despite having over 74 days of 100+ temps this summer in TX! And, the structural quality is still good as new too, no problems at all. It really was very quick and easy to put together. Good luck and let us know how yours turns out!

  • Thanks for the great video. My husband and I watched it before putting up our 8' x 15' lifetime shed. When we finished the shed, we went back and watched again and your video showed us how to solve the problem with the door latches.

  • Where is the part list and the guide book? When I find them out, all parts have been mixed well.

  • I want to install one of these between an existing shed and a vinyl fence. Will this be possible or do I need to be able to walk around the long sides? thanks!

  • It's "assemble", not "build".

  • We are replacing a 30+ year old steel shed with a Lifetime, and this video REALLY helps as a confidence builder.

For the price, I'll take the Lifetime over a wood shed any day, as in Colorado, a wood shed will not stand up to the elements as long or as maintenance free. The vents, windows, and floor make a Lifetime superior to wood!

  • as a framer, i have built multiple sheds, and have assembled about five of these lifetime sheds. these lifetime sheds are very tedious to assemble. on many of the shed jobs we have done, the owner wanted a lifetime shed to begin with, but i have changed their minds into having me build a shed out of wood instead. the reason for this is that the lifetime sheds take longer to assemble, aren't as durable as real sheds, they cost more than wooden sheds, and they can be very hot inside.

  • Thanks for the great video. This was very helpful.

  • "If a blonde like me can do it, anybody can!" lol just kidding :)

  • Thanks for the great video - very helpful. I'll be putting mine together this weekend!

  • Thanks for posting this video. You guys rock!
