Maestro Van Phung was a Chief orchestra, TV entertainment show, composer and musician, known as one of the famous artists in Saigon (South Vietnam) before 1975. He wrote many beautiful love songs.

Van Phung musician whose real name is Nguyen Van Phung, born in 1930 in Hanoi. Taught pianist since childhood, are the only two professors teaching the piano, Ms. Perrier and Wang, in 1945 Van Phung won best solo piano in a selection at the Hanoi Opera House with music La Priere d'une Vierge .....

Around 1954 , 1955 Van Phung migration to the South Vietnam and became the Music Director of Saigon Radio and "Psychological Warfare Department" (South Vietnam)

His artistic career was extremely popular in 1948 and spanned more 50 years.

Văn Phụng là một nhạc sĩ nổi tiếng của dòng nhạc tình miền Nam trước 1975. Một số nhạc phẩm của ông được xếp vào thể loại tiền chiến. Văn Phụng còn được xem như một trong những nhạc sĩ hòa âm hay nhất của Sài Gòn trước 1975
